A (Very Self-Serving) Call to Action

We need to ask a big favor of you.

We were nominated for a People’s Choice Podcast Award this year and we really, really want to win it.  But to do that, we need your help.

You can vote for us as often as once per day at podcastawards.com (you’ll find us in the “Religious/Inspirational” category) and you can also tell all of your other friends and family to do the same.  This is the most coveted honor in the podcasting industry, and while we don’t have anywhere near the largest audience in our category, we’re counting on the fact that we have the best audience in our category.  The award will go to the show with the most votes, so it will really all depend on how many of you are willing to vote every day.

Also, and this bit is important, every time you vote, you’ll receive an email confirmation.  If you don’t click on the verification link in that email, your vote won’t count.  Voting opens today and runs until March 24th, so you have a total of 21 chances to vote for us.

This is our first year of eligibility for a podcast award and it’s a huge honor to be nominated.  It would be exactly one order of magnitude more of an honor to win.  Please help make this happen for us.  We’ll owe you viable body parts.

If you have any questions or you’re having any trouble voting, we’ll be happy to help.  Leave a comment below and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

Thanks again for helping us get this far.

(PS Our good friends Tom & Cecil are nominated in the News/Politics category as well, so while you’re over there voting anyway, we strongly encourage you to give them some love as well.)

I went and voted and got a message that I had already voted and try again tomorrow, it was news to me. WTF.

I had this issue. The webmaster told me it was known. When I tried again later, my vote was counted.

I will vote for you. even though you didn’t have the respect to spell check your article. In the first sentence you misspell the word favour as favor. very shabby. Spell check boys, it only takes 1 click.

It said I had already voted, even though this was not the case. I will contact the webmaster.

I was only able to vote once, every other time I got the error saying I had already voted and can only vote once in 24 hours. I contacted the awards people and made them aware of the problem, but they never fixed it. So we lost all my votes but one.

I’m having the same problem. They assure me it’s a known issue and they’re working on it, but who knows how many votes will be lost in the interim. Thanks, though.
