Loved the diatribe this week; you brought me to tears. And not the way you usually do, with howls of laughter.
Good on ya, Noah.
I just want to say, this is the first episode of yours that I’ve heard… And I made the mistake of wearing headphones while I walked…. I tried really, really hard not to die laughing in while walking by people. I couldn’t get into my conference room fast enough.
I was in a Christian marriage and my ex (who grew up in the religion (I did not) and wanted the divorce) refused to watch Fireproof when his parents asked him to. I watched it, and because it was such an emotional time and I believed what the Bible had to say about divorce, I bawled my eyes out — it was so touching. I was asked to start implementing the Love Dare but he had moved out already so it was pretty much a moot point.
Just have to say, it was a surprise to revisit that moment in my life because of your wonderful scathing review of that movie in this episode. You had me in stitches the entire time. Amazing commentary, thank you for that!
To be fair to the cretin from South Carolina (where else?), this was an Archie Bunker line, and probably wasn’t new then. Any indication of whether it was a bad attempt at comedy, or was he serious?
