    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnostic_atheism

I mean I somewhat agree with you and it’s largely an irrelevant discussion, but it’s not as if there isn’t a good argument in favor of this other naming scheme. The definition used by internet atheists isn’t necessarily untenable.

It’s simply not compatable with the common definition, nor is it useful to try to reappropriate the word. The same chart with a different word would make the same point without confusing the issue of agnosticism. I offered a nod to wiki references in the diatribe; but I think it’s worth noting that outside of open-source definitions, the concept of “agnosticism” referring to one’s level of knowledge simply doesn’t exist.

Mormons are encouraged to stay away from the internet and all potentially “anti-Mormon” material (books, articles, podcasts) of any kind. There are people who live in such perfect bubbles that they are in their mid-thirties before they ever encounter any mention of the Mountain Meadows Massacre or Joseph Smith’s polygamy/polyandry/philandery. Some are shattered when they find out and leave the Church, others are able to “compartmentalize.” For better or worse, the nineteen year-olds in starched shirts on the bicycles may never have heard of the Massacre, no kidding. They may truly believe that Joseph Smith had one wife, Emma, and that the book of Mormon was actually translated from golden plates.

So revile the Church if you will, it and its leaders deserve your revulsion, but be aware that there are many members who honest-to-god don’t know any better.
